Celebrity Q&A with Eduardo Verástegui at San Diego Latino Film Festival 2007

The San Diego Latino Film Festival media conference on Saturday was equally packed with fans and media for Eduardo Verástegui. The Mexican actor-producer was here to present bella, winner of the prestigious Audience Award at the 2006 Toronto International Film Festival. Verastegui, voted by People en Español as one of the 50 Most Beautiful People in the world, said his career as an actor and producer starts with this film. The Q&A were cut short because Verástegui had to go present bella.

Fans and media followed Verástegui as he walked to the screen where bella would be shown. As we followed him into the theater, he quickly came back out and then ducked into another theater. Confused, we all looked to each other for answers. Then the operations manager for the festival, after briefly talking to Verástegui, alerted us that he would not take anymore pictures until everyone was seated in the theater.

Once he introduced the movie to the audience, he put on his producer hat and had the theater technicians turn up the volume on the film to ensure the audience go the best experience.

After he was satisfied with presentation of the film, he gave us an opportunity to take a picture of him next to the movie poster of bella.
