There was uncertainty surrounding David Beckham’s debut today due to an injury he sustained in June before joining Galaxy, but the LA Times reports that David Beckham will make his debut for the Galaxy this afternoon against Chelsea in a sold-out match at the Home Depot Center in Carson.
Fans will also be treated to Paul Oakenfold playing the Impossible Stage today from 4-5 p.m. PT outside The Home Depot Center before the LA Galaxy vs. Chelsea FC match in the 2007 World Series of Football.
Beckham signed with the Los Angeles Club Galaxy earlier this year for a reported 5 year contract potentially worth $250 million dollars. In 2004, Google listed David Beckham number one for sports news searches, and the #6 most searched for man.

I have two personal opinions to the David Beckham’s move to L.A Galaxy. My first opinion is that its a good move he did, because he will make a lot more money playing her in the U.S than in Europe. I also hope that Beckham’s move will bring the attention and the passion back to Football (Soccer) here in the states as much as the other sports in the U.S . Which in compared to the other sports I believe it dose not have the same strong following as do the other sports. On the other side of the Spectrum I believe that the whole Beckham crossing over is getting blown way out of proportion. I mean come on how much self promotion dose Beckham need? or is the L.A Galaxy really need to do that much advertisement announcing their new player? His name will sell that is for sure. It’s good we have a good player like Beckham in the States, I just think they are overdoing it letting us know he has arrived. They probably spending as much on letting us know on his arrival in one year than what they are paying him for his 5 year contract. Sponsors are overdoing it.

Welcome to Beckhangeles!
1. I almost forgot about the good wages here in America for athletes. David Beckham just replaced ex-NBA star (and now openly gay) John Amaechi as the highest paid British athlete.
2. Is Chelsea still number one in the premiership standing?
