It seems the only way we know the seasons are changing around here are events like the South Park Walkabout. This is a quarterly event that entices people to mingle, enjoy libations and shop. If you don’t know where South Park is, I am not describing the town where animated, foul mouthed, sarcastic kids live. South Park is smack in the middle of North Park and Golden Hill. The main streets throughout the neighborhood are 30th and Fern. You will find art, bars, restaurants, boutiques, ice cream, videos, books, cafes, salons and markets. If you haven’t checked out this part of town, this is a good time to do so. Everyone is welcome and the event is free. The South Park Summer Walkabout starts at 5:30pm on Friday, July 20, 2007.
On Thursday, July 19, two businesses in South Park come together to support local filmmakers. Citizen Video’s local filmmaker showcase will be held at The Whistle Stop. Show starts at 9p.
