Team USA lost yesterday to Paraguay 1-3, in what maybe a three and out showing at the 2007 Copa America. So far they are tied for third / fourth place in Group C, and only two best third place teams across all three groups would advance. To avoid elimination in the first round, the United States would have to beat Colombia Thursday and hope that other teams lose.
