Fashion Disko

What’s better than a fashion show?? A fashion show, nice people, progressive music and good drinks. Come out to the Shaker Room at 528 F St on Wednesday for what I think will be an incredible night. The Leisure Society will be hosting the Fashion Disko an event in conjunction with Kate Ross and Disconnected Salon and sponsored by Hangar 1 Vodka. This is the first big event for The Leisure Society. The boys of the Leisure Society all work at downtown bars and clubs and know what its like to want a more positive entertainment alternative to the average nightspot. ***Think no fights, no top 40 hits, and good service***

What to expect walking down the runway from Kate Ross Boutique?? Summer dresses from Porridge, Yumi Kim, and Hype. Flowy tops from Ella moss, Mixie and Mimo and shorts from Odyn and wide leg trouser jeans from Paige for the ladies. For the dudes Modern Amusement shorts and tees from Green Apple Tree, plus hats from Goorin Brothers.

Anyone who has gone to Ray @ Night in North Park knows already that Disconnected Salon can put up a great hair show and this should be no different with the theme being a Fashion Disko it will be all about summer with crazy neon makeup and wild hair.

Now I won’t be wearing my hair or makeup like that but I would wear tons of things from Kate Ross boutique in North Park. She will be hosting a trunk show at the event so bring your wallets! My favorite pieces right now are a silk tank from Velvet ($101) it’s beautiful wine color batik print, perfect with the Odyn short shorts ($130), Or this pretty mosaic print dress in yellow, green, tan and cream from Porridge ($149) which I think could be absolutely the perfect summer date dress. For the boys ditch your ratty brown cargo shorts for some Modern Amusement madras plaid shorts in bright orange, blue and pink ($78) and tone down the shorts with a roughed up brown tee from Monarchy ($64) for a stylish yet no effort look.
