Last Thursday, we stopped by the Jon B and Biz Markie Party at Belo after TNT. First impression (11p.m.), it was going to be a slow night. Which was odd, because Foreplay Entertainment / AfterDarc.net always host the hottest parties. The one thing that was abundant at 11p.m were girls wearing Encore t-shirts, which co-promoted that night. Slow, but not dead. People slowly poured into the club and by 11:30 it was happening. Not full to capacity, but a good size crowd.
Never heard of Jon B. (Boogotti) before that night, primarily because I’m not big on R&B. Let me tell you folks, Jon B. can sing and a fair amount of people thought so too. We didn’t catch Biz Markie on the turntables, but I have to image he put on a good show. Biz is a really talented guy.
This Thursday, June 21st, is the Hawaiin Luau Party at On Broadway, featuring Hustler Fashion Show and Diego Roots performing live. More info.
