A continuous stream of speedlights fired as la hermosa (beautiful) Dayanara Torres, a former Miss Universe and ex-wife of Marc Anthony, made her way to the San Diego Latino Film Festival media conference on Wednesday. Press photographers kept shooting until she finally said thank you after 5 long minutes. Not even Kate del Castillo who was on the very same stage on Saturday got so much media attention.

Dayanara Torres was stunning in her simple but oh-so-elegant dress. She was in town on Wednesday to present Elsa y Fred at the San Diego Latino Film Festival. She primarily spoke to the media in Spanish, but at times used some English words in her answers.

Dayanara Torres became a household name again after her much publicized divorce from ex-husband, Latin pop singer, Mark Anthony, who is now married to Jennifer Lopez. Her name and face where on all the tabloids and Hispanic rags during the ordeal. She even made a guest appearance on El Show De Cristina to talk about her experience.

I think I speak for many of us who where there that day, Dayanara Torres is much prettier in person than on television. Not to say that I didn’t think she was pretty before, there was just always something about her on television that was distracting. Dayanara Torres looked like a porcelain doll that day with her pretty long dark hair and big blue eyes.

Although Dayanara Torres was here to present her Elsa y Fred, she used her time with the media to talk about her show on MyNetwork Tv, Watch Over Me, which is part of the Secret Obsessions series.

Dayanara Torres and her two children were here last summer for 3 months filming Watch Over Me. Although she worked long hour days on the set of Watch Over Me, she was able to take sometime off to go the San Diego Zoo and SeaWorld with her two young boys.

Dayanara moved to Los Angeles one year ago to restart her acting career. She said it was the “best move I could have done.”

After the 1994 Miss Universe pageant, Dayanara moved to the Philippines were she made 10 movies. To date, Dayanara has made 13 films.
