San Diego CityBeat published on Wednesday their first annual fashion issue: Dripping With Style. To celebrate, the San Diego CityBeat is hosting “Bordering with Beauty” this Friday at Cream from 7 - 11P.M. We suggest getting their early. The last party we went to at Cream was packed. There were just as many people inside the place as there were outside.

San Diego CityBeat’s Bordering with Beatuy is aiming to combine local art, music and fashion. They are bringing together artists and electronic musicians from Tijuana and San Diego. In addition, local boutiques are invited to contribute to a mannequin-display installation as part of a “boutiques-over-malls” effort.

CityBeat’s Seen Local art show featuring works by San Diego/Tijuana artists:

  • Acamonchi
  • Joseph Bennett
  • Jorge Tellaeche
  • Saratoga Sake
  • Aren Skalman
  • R. Wharton “The Art Pimp”
  • Ron Glaubitz
  • Gustabo Velasquez

Live electronics and visuals provided by Borders Collapse Sound System, a cross-border electronic music collaborative featuring El Poeta, DJ Jon Baker and projection artist Shikaku.
