On Thursday, the 2007 San Diego Latino Film Festival will kick off with more than 185 films from Mexico, Cuba, Columbia, Peru, Guatemala, Brazil, Bolivia, Argentina, Spain and the U.S.. Attendees will have a chance to see: Cansada de Besar Sapos (Mexico), Family Law (Argentina), Wood & Stock (Brazil), and Tortilla Heaven (U.S.A.).

This year, over 25,000 people, including 100 guest filmmakers and actors, are expected. The 14th annual event takes place March 8th through 18th at the UltraStar Mission Valley Cinemas Hazard Center.
Confirmed celebrities include: Itati Cantoral (Cansada de Besar Sapos), Kate Del Castillo (Trade), Gastón Pauls (Illuminados Por El Fuego and Una Estrella Y Dos Cafes), Jacob Vargas (Selena, Traffic, Get Shorty and Bobby), Lupe Ontiveros (Tortilla Heaven, Desperate Housewives), and Eduardo Verastegui (Bella and Chasing Papi).
