Next on scene was Neighbourhood, the fashionable boutique in University Heights. The ladies had very flapper inspired looks including feather and sequined details. I loved the great feather headpieces and the tailored blouses with sequined vests or tucked into voluminous high waisted skirts. Paired with some peep toed high heels (that had made for some good audience gasps as some models looked a little tumbly) and statement necklaces all of them looked classy and could easily go from day to night in any of the outfits. I wasn’t a fan of the spats or the Diet coke nightgown dress, but did love the flutter sleeve dresses, the Pumpkin dress by anzevino and Florence and the sequined silver dress at the end of the show. (Neighbourhood if you are reading – tell us who made that in the comments!)
The men of the show looked well put together although some of the shoes were a bit over flared. Stand out pieces were the stone washed jeans a members only style jacket with asymmetrical zippering and some humorous tees. I wish that they would have shown a bit more upscale items that they carry in their store as they sent a few things down the runway more than once and they carry some great stuff from John Varvatos for Converse and Orthodox, but perhaps they were too good and were sold out before the show.
After the show we hightailed it out of there as it was hot and a drink was needed.. and not one for $7.00
