Club America Cruz Azul
Mexico’s most popular team, Club America, commonly known as the Augilas, will play Cruz Azul of the Mexican Primera Division Mexican Soccer league Saturday, July 19 at 8:00 p.m. at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, California as part of its U.S. tour. The July 19th match will mark Cruz Azul’s and Club Americas first match ever in San Diego.

Tickets for the Club America-Cruz Azul match are on sale on now. Ticket prices are $35, $45, $55, and $55, and can be purchased through Ticketmaster outlets or by calling (619) 220-8497 and online at ticketmaster.com.

America, one of Mexico’s most successful clubs of all time with 10 Mexican league titles, recently wrapped up a successful 2008 Copa Libertadores. America is home to some of soccer’s big stars such as Memo Ochoa, Salvador Cabanas, and new star, Alfredo Moreno. This will be the last game before the beginning of the 2008 Apertura season.

Cruz Azul is a powerhouse in Mexican Soccer with 8 championships. Coming off a loss in the Championship game, Cruz Azul is back with a new head coach and a veteran team that looks to get back into championship form for the 2008 Apertua.
