Extreme Auto Fest at Qualcomm

Sunday June 1st I cruised out to the 8th annual Extreme Auto Fest at Qualcomm Stadium. It was an event filled with tricked out, pimped out and modified cars, trucks and Suvs. Throughout the day people enjoyed performances by Frankie J and other local SD artists and LA. Z90 was out on stage hosting the concerts and pumping up the crowd. In between artist performances they held a bikini competition, which was amazing. The competition consisted of about 12 girls and about 3 or 4 where Deja Vu Girls. I got to say there were two girls that well…. should not been in the competition. Nobody has told them a 2-piece bikini is not a good idea. While all of them looked good regardless, top 3 walked away with prizes from “F Street”.

Mad Mike the electric genius from MTV’s “Pimp my ride” was there hosting the Mobile Electronics / Car Audio competition. In addition to the Audio Competition, there was a Low rider Jump
Competition that took place. There was a Buick that took place clearing almost 90”. Of course there was that one Lo-Lo that got taken way beyond its means and got a tow. In addition to the cars they had low rider bikes out on display and some riding them around. Most of the bikes where built mostly by hand to make the finest details really stand out. Unfortunately I was unable to take pictures, I was busy balancing an Audio Excellence Promo girl on my shoulders. She was cute I had too.

Accessories, Accessories, Accessories. A lot of them, from detailing products, speakers, lights to the biggest fad of them all: Asanti Grills & Wheels. They are very popular now, every other Chrysler 300 or Beemer had an Asanti Product. They make your vehicles look like a $300K Vehicle. Hell I was fooled; I saw this BMW that I swear was a Jag, nope just the Asanti Wheel & Grill Kit. In addition to the accessories, they had clothes and shoes for sale.

It got really hot during the day, walking around with mirrors and the reflections off the cars got people really thirsty. But Fuze Products where there to save the day. They had NOS & Fuze Juice sample they were giving away, I must have stopped there about 50 times. I heard water bottles are expensive so bring your unopened water bottles. Don’t make the same mistake I did by not brining sun block, or you’ll end up really burned. Overall the event was awesome, fun, entertaining and definitely going to it next year. I also want to thank the owners of Audio Excellence in Bonita Gerald & George for having as part of their crew for the day.
