Think Global partnered with Kleiner Perkins and Rockport Capital to bring Think City all-electric car to North America in 2009
Think Global, a Norwegian company that makes the TH!NK city all-electric car, today announced that it will bring the TH!NK city to North America in 2009.
The Think city is emission free and 95 percent recyclable. You return the batteries when they reach the end of their usable life. It reaches a top speed of 65 miles per hour and can drive up to 110 miles on a single charge. If you wondering if this small vehicle will be safe, you can rest assured as it meets all European and US federal motor vehicle safety requirements.
It is no surprise that Think Global chose Earth Day to make this announcement, but automotive companies and oil refineries are making really easy for Think to stand out today. Gas prices prices reached an all time high nationally at a $3.50 a gallon and in San Diego we are at record highs over $3.80 a gallon. Some experts are predicting $4.00 a gallon for gas in San Diegans near future.
We have had more than a few all-electric cars in California, but automakers including GM and Toyota have taken some desperate measures in the past to preserve the internal combustion engine.

Gas prices continue to rise and may soon cost the earth if ‘guzzling’ continues unabated. “The world’s supply of recoverable oil is fast running out. An energy policy (or the lack of one) that leaves us with no alternative but swilling more oil is suicidally stupid.”
Average car trips typically cost over .30 cents per mile in fuel and parts (while gas prices keep going up)! In traffic congested areas where drivers can spend hours in transit each day; –Smart people are beginning to turn to electric scooters, electric bikes and electric cars as an economical way to get to work, school, or anywhere they want!
Our collective addiction to oil is at the root of at least six fundamental issues that are adversely affecting our nation and indeed, the entire planet: corporate- driven globalization, global warming, poverty, war, terrorism, and the undue influence of money on the political process.

If this vehicle has air conditioning, I want one. It is perfect for my 30 mile a day commute.
