Unions members and supporters march through downtown San Diego on Cesar Chavez Day

Monday morning in honor of Cesar Chavez Day, regional union members and supporters marched through downtown San Diego to “demand that all businesses treat their employees with dignity and respect.”

The march included members from Service Employees International Union local 221 , janitor, plumber, and government employees’s unions. About 500 people wearing red and green t-shirts participated in Monday’s march.

The march “for better jobs” started at the San Diego Convention Center at 9:30 a.m., made its way through 5th Ave. and to the following 5 locations:
1. Wellsfargo Building,
2. Civic Center Plaza,
3. State of California Building,
4. Lane Field,
5. and concluded at the San Diego County Administration Center.
