North County is in for a treat. Swiv Tackle Circus, the World’s first Gallertique, will be gracing Oceanside with their official grand opening and artist reception tonight, March 28 from 6-10p.
Swiv Tackle Circus is essentially a gallery/boutique (hence the name). This Gallertique will carry amazing art, clothing and books. Their premier show is “Memory Sale,†new paintings by Ben Horton. Ben Horton will be in attendance for the grand opening. The Gallertique will host monthly Neo-Contemporary art exhibitions.
Who is Swiv Tackle Circus? The Gallertique is owned by amazing couple Shaney jo Darden and Jeff Black along with talented sisters Desirée Dawn Kuhn & Kirsten Kuhn. With more than 30 years collective fine art experience, they will masterfully add much needed culture to Oceanside.
According to Desirée Dawn Kuhn, “Swiv Tackle Circus has chosen to carry their local and international fashion friends including Obey, Lewsader, Upper Playground, Beck(y) Bags, Pony Attack!!, Beta Unit, Jessicafied, Imaginary Foundation and The Lovewright Company. The Gallertiqueâ„¢ will also offer hard to find artist supplies such as Sabotoz spray paint from Greece and On The Run paint-pens together with art books and zines, including the hot-off-the-presses Hamburger Eyes : Inside Burgerworld.”
