San Diego Latino Film Festival Press Conference: Demián and Bruno Bichir

Last week, we stopped by the San Diego Latino Film Festival for the press conference with Mexican actors the Bichir Brothers: Demián and Bruno. Both of them were in town to promote films participating in the film festival. At the film festival, Bruno Bichir was presented with a Top 10 to Watch award.

“Don’t wait a year to watch Mexican films. Watch them and support them when they are released,” said Demián Bichir.

During the press conference, “Los Bichir” were never asked about their films. Instead they were asked about their thoughts on the “political cloud that surrounds Mexican cinema” and the current state of the Mexican film industry. Like ambassadors of Nuevo Cine Mexicano, the Bichir Brothers answered all the media’s questions and not once paused to plug their films.
