‘Commune Wednesdays’ Launch Party = Success!

On Wednesday, February 27, ‘Commune Wednesdays’ had its launch party at The Ken Club. The Muslims rocked the stage, DJ Mikey Face (Jersey Fresh) was the mixologist and fashion was provided by the talented duo Kimmy and Nathan of Pony Attack!! At each event, there is a free raffle. You get a chance to win an article of clothing from the featured designer and a free cd from the headlining band. The founders of ‘Commune Wednesdays’ are Jenny Kondrasky and Ashley Gneiting. According to co-founder Jenny Kondrasky, “The purpose of our event is to support local bands, Djs, designers and artists. Each month we hope to feature new local talent as well as rotate around local bars.” For being the first of many ‘Commune Wednesdays’, it was a good crowd and The Muslims were great! If you have not seen them play live, make a point of it. The next Muslims show will be on March 10th at The Casbah. Keep your eyes peeled for the next ‘Commune Wednesdays’ event!
