Writers Strike over!

A three month writers strike that devastated the entertainment industry with losses of over 2 billion dollars has finally ended yesterday with workers returning back to work today. The strike is over,” WGA West president Patric Verrone said. “Our membership has voted, and writers can go back to work. This was not a strike we wanted, but one we had to conduct…”

The new deal establishes a scale to pay workers whose work is sold on the internet or streamed for free. Previously writers were not paid for any internet based selling. With the wave of technology they felt this was necessary and after 3 long months they got what they wanted.

At long last we will get new episodes of Gossip Girls, Grey’s Anatomy, and Letterman might be funny again!

Letterman’s been back. Get out from that rock you’ve been under.

In my excitement over seeing something other than the worsening reality television shows and re-runs I made the mistake of saying Letterman instead of Leno. Leno and Letterman came back on the air after two months. Letterman worked out a deal with his writers to come back on the show and Leno went on without any writers. I stand corrected.
