Wes Anderson’s Hotel Chevalier Prequel to The Darjeeling Limited

Wes Anderson, known for his films Rushmore and The Royal Tenenbaums released his 13 minute short film Hotel Chevalier as a free download on iTunes. The film takes place in room 403 of Hotel Chevalier and stars Jason Schwartzman and Natalie Portman. Jack (Jason Schwartzman) has been living in his Paris room for over a month when he receives a call from a woman (Natalie Portman) informing him she has just arrived and she will meet him at his hotel room in half an hour. I won’t spoil the rest but it’s worth noting that Natalie Portman does have a nude scene or two, something she said she would not do when she was 18, and the colors chosen by Wes Anderson are perfect for the script.
