Finale of Breast to Impress fashion show at Shaker Room on September 20, 2007 / Photo by Victor Santana
Last Thursday, we walked over to the Shaker Room for the Breast 2 Impress party. The purpose of the event was to raise funds for the Keep A Breast foundation. Over 550 people showed up and nearly $3,500 was raised for Keep A Breast. The party included a fashion show, charity auction and a trunk show. The fashion show featured Keep A Breast tees reconstructed by 18 artists.
As we waited outside, the doorman told us that it was their best Thursday night ever and it was only 9:20pm. Hosted bar from 8-9pm by Effen Vodka worked. The event was a collaboration of the Leisure Society and Keep A Breast. It was curated by our very own fashion correspondent Kimmy McAtee. Inside we saw some familiar faces from the North Park Fashion Week, which was fun. Upstairs their was trunk shows from Mimi and Red, Neighborhood Boutique, Grammatique, and Keep A Breast.
The fashion show was hot mixed with fun. See for yourself:
The hair was done by Suede Salon in Hillcrest. Mari at Model Call did the faces for the models. The accessories the girls were wearing were provided by Mimi and Red.
